Stephanie Quiser was first diagnosed with scleroderma on November 1, 2019. In the short time since her diagnosis, Stephanie’s hands and fingers have become very crippled from the disease. As an avid crafter and creative person, hobbies like woodworking, sewing and painting have now become extremely difficult for Stephanie.
This initial change was very tough for her, as crafting provided peace and settled her anxieties. Although she wanted to give up on these activities at many times due to the challenges, she again got creative and found new ways to enjoy the activities she loves.
Stephanie is most proud of the fact that she hasn’t let scleroderma get the best of her. She says it has inspired her to try harder and do more. “My disease does not define me. I will live life to the fullest and enjoy every precious minute I have.”
